The guestlist & lanes

How tickets move across the board, what the Clear rail does, and the three ways to lay out your queue.

Find a ticket or a lane that is not visible

  1. Search by guest name or order number in the register search field. Clear the search to show all matching lanes again.
  2. In Board layout, look under Other lanes. Select the lane to open it beside active work. A lane can contain waiting guests even when it is not an active column.
  3. Use the layout dropdown to switch between Board, POS mode, and Wait list. POS mode keeps every lane open; Wait list shows open tickets in a list.
  4. If a ticket says Open on another POS, coordinate with that operator before continuing it.

Pressing Enter in ticket search opens customer check-in. Searching alone does not create a ticket.

The six lanes

LaneWhat it holds
Pending OnlineNew online orders that nobody has accepted yet.
In StoreWalk-ins who just checked in.
QueueGuests waiting for a budtender. Always visible on the board.
Ready to GoFilled walk-in tickets — the guest has been notified.
OnlineAccepted online orders, and filled online orders after Notify.
EmployeeEmployee check-ins.

Drag any card between lanes, or open the ticket and use the lane selector. Moves are instant on every register.

Three layouts: Board, POS mode, Wait list

The layout dropdown in the guestlist bar switches between three formats (saved per device):

  • Board — the smart board. Lanes with active work stay open; idle lanes collapse into the Clear rail.
  • POS mode — classic view: all six lanes always open, drag tickets between columns.
  • Wait list — one list of every open ticket, longest wait first.

How the Board decides what stays open

A lane stays expanded when it contains real work:

  • A ticket with pick items still to pull (units left to scan),
  • An ADD ON waiting on the vault, or
  • A ticket open on a POS register right now (you’ll see “Open on POS 2 · name” on the card).

Everything else tucks into the Clear rail on the right — the tickets are still in their lanes, just out of the way. The Queue lane never collapses.

  1. Tap a lane chip in the Clear rail (it shows a ticket count) — the lane slides open next to the active work.
  2. Work the tickets, then tap the lane’s header to send it back to Clear.
Tip Searching always shows every matching ticket, no matter which lane it’s resting in.

Wait list: one-tap lane advance

In Wait list format each row shows a Lane badge and — when there’s an obvious next step — a single advance button:

  • In Store or Employee → → Queue
  • Pending Online → → Online (accepts the order)

Filled tickets show Notify instead: it moves walk-ins to Ready to Go and online orders to Online, and stamps the ready time.

Wait list: longest wait first, with a lane badge and one-tap advance on every row.

Search and live updates

  • The search box (Search tickets… Enter to check in) matches names, order numbers, phone, notes, and lanes. Press Enter to jump into check-in for that name; Esc clears.
  • New work flashes onto the board with a toast: “Pick ticket: …”, “ADD ON for vault: …”, or “Online order: …”. All registers stay in sync automatically.
